The Bible that we currently have is the New Translation of the Bible (TB) which was translated starting in 1952 and published in 1974. Over time, there have been many developments in the language so it is not surprising that there are words that are starting to be difficult for today's readers to understand. With this in mind, the Indonesian Bible Society, together with the churches, is working to update the New Translation (TB) so that it is clearer and can be understood properly by today's readers and also the next generation.
