The INDONESIAN BIBLE SOCIETY has opened 4 Representative Offices, namely in Medan, Manado, Makassar, and Jayapura. According to articles 3 & 4 of the Articles of Association & Bylaws of the Indonesian Bible Society Foundation, what is meant by REPRESENTATION is the extension of LAI's functions in carrying out its vision and mission. The management of the representative office is led by a Head of Representation, who serves as an executive staff member and is accountable to the General Secretary of LAI through the technical departments: Distribution & Marketing Department, Finance & Accounting Department, General Affairs Department, Organization Development Department, and Communication & Partnership Development Department.
The representation is established by the Board of Directors after considering several strategic factors, including:
- The potential number of Indonesians needing Bible publications in a given area, region, or place,
- The potential of Churches and Christian communities in the relevant area, region, or place to support the ongoing Bible distribution ministry,
- The managerial potential and local SRM to carry out LAI's vision and mission in the relevant area, region, or place,
- The financial potential to fund the operational tasks of the established representative office
