Friday, November 1, 2024 is the 2nd day of Biak Bible Week. On this day, quite a lot of activities were carried out at the Evangelical Christian Church in Tanah Papua, Elizabeth Aibekopfuar Congregation. One of the activities carried out was the Partner Meeting, which is also routinely carried out on Bible Week days.

Friday at 6 pm Biak time, the backyard of GKI Elizabeth was neatly arranged. Beautiful tents combined with neatly arranged fine dining tables created a warm and elegant atmosphere, ready to welcome the arrival of special guests, namely the partners of the Indonesian Bible Society in the Papua Representative Office.

The day began to get dark, the guests had filled the dining tables. At 19.00 the event began, musicians and singers sang spiritual songs combined with local pop songs.

Not long after, the event continued with several speeches. The night became even more lively, when the acoustic vocal group PAR Bukit Moria Adainasnosen performed their music. The vocal group collaborating with a bamboo musical instrument group and typical Biak musical instruments such as Ukulele, Tifa, Stem Bas, and Triton performed stunningly, creating a beautiful harmony with the nuances of the Biak region. They sang two songs in this opening performance. All the guests' eyes were captivated, as if they were not aware that their bodies were swaying to the rhythm of the bass and triton.

On this beautiful night, Mrs. Melvy Alfons as the head of the LAI Representative Office in Tanah Papua also delivered her speech. In her speech, Mrs. Melvy also expressed her joy because of the support of the partners, around 4000 Bibles have been handed over to the brothers and sisters in Aimando Padaido. It is hoped that this can also be a motivator for the guests who came that night to also support the provision of Bibles to brothers and sisters in need in other areas.

The Head of the GKI Biak Selatan Classis, Rev. Yohanes Kbarek, S.Th also delivered his speech, and expressed his support for LAI.

The later it gets, the livelier it gets. The event became more lively as the night went on. When it was time to give offerings and make promises of faith, the guests swayed forward and put their offering envelopes into the box on the stage. The accompaniment of the song Jou Jou Manfun sung by musicians and singers with high voices made all the guests and committee members get carried away in dancing, which made the atmosphere even more intimate and warm.

It was time for dinner. The night was 'broken' when the vocal group and acoustic ensemble of PAR Bukit Moria performed again, singing more than 3 Biak-style spiritual songs in a medley. Everyone was happy, as if the joy of heaven was real.

The joy of the long night finally paid off. Finally, the results of the support from all the partners who came were announced. It was recorded that donations of Rp. 22,572,000 were collected from 54 people who donated.

All the participants were happy, God's blessings fell upon Biak.
