The big vision of the Indonesian Bible Institute (LAI) is that “God's Word Reaches All Generations” or the Bible is available to everyone. This grand vision cannot be realized by the efforts of LAI alone. LAI, which was born in Indonesia through a partnership of churches and Christians, always needs the support of its partners to realize its vision and mission. One of the pillars of LAI's partnerships is the Support Gathering Working Group (KKPD), a group of adult volunteers appointed by the LAI Executive Board to garner support and develop partnerships in a particular area. KKPD LAI becomes an extension of LAI in an area to socialize LAI's vision, mission and service programs. LAI's KKPD management is spread across various major cities in Indonesia. One of the long-established LAI partners that has been assisting LAI's ministry is the Semarang LAI Partner Group.
On June 15, 2025, the LAI Executive Board came to Semarang to inaugurate the board of the LAI Mitra Semarang MPA for the period 2025-2029. The board consists of 14 people from various church and ministry backgrounds. Mr. Arif Honggowijoyo was elected as the chairman of LAI Mitra Semarang, supported by advisors and administrators from various large churches in Semarang City. The inauguration took place during one of the worship services at GKT New Life Semarang. The event was simple, yet solemn with the entire congregation and members of the assembly praying for the members of KKPD Semarang. LAI's General Secretary, Dr. Sigit Triyono, inaugurated the board, accompanied by LAI's Head of Communication and Partnership Department, Erna Yulianawati, and two Support Raising staff, Caroline Marlissa and Victor Junaedi.
This year, the LAI Mitra Semarang Regional Commission plans to organize a Bible Mission Banquet which is a Gala Dinner in order to raise funds for the distribution of 3,000 copies of the Bible and its parts to God's people living in various parts of the archipelago. The Gala Dinner will invite businessmen and donors in Semarang and surrounding areas.

May LAI's partnership with churches and Christians in Semarang and surrounding areas grow stronger in the future, so that the Bible can be more widely distributed, read and understood, enabling God's people to always be ready to renew themselves and face the challenges of life every day.
