For two days, between May 29-30, 2025, the Bible Institute of Liberia organized a Training Workshop at Good News Outreach Ministries, Totota, Bong County, Liberia. Participants included pastors, missionaries and activists serving in rural areas. During the training, facilitators from the Bible Institute equipped participants with deep biblical insights and practical knowledge to lead congregations and conduct effective pastoral care.

One of the training participants, Pastor Jeffery B. Sackie, a senior pastor and founder of Life in Christ Pentecostal Church located in Palala, Bong District, was grateful to be able to attend this leadership training. He has faced significant challenges regarding congregational development since pioneering ministry in Palala five years ago.

She said excitedly, "Participating in this training was very beneficial. It provided me with valuable insights and solutions to dilemmas I have faced over the years in my role as senior pastor and church planter. The stagnation in the growth of my ministry over the past five years is largely due to my lack of understanding and knowledge on how to lead effectively as a pastor.

The insights Rev. Jeffery gained during the training have profoundly changed his perspective in ministry. The training has equipped him with important strategies for pastoral care and organizational development. Membership decline and cases of backsliding among congregations — issues that adversely affect ministry growth — were thoroughly addressed during instructional sessions that focused on evangelism and church administration.

The training also addresses specifically strategies for pioneering and growing new churches and restoring crisis-stricken churches.

”I was deeply moved; while attending these training sessions, I felt a tremendous sense of purpose, and I now believe my participation was not accidental, but driven by the Holy Spirit who wants my ministry to continue to grow,” said Rev. Jeffery.
