The Toraja Bible Week has been a success. Starting on October 2, it ended on October 5, 2025. Successfully organizing various competitions, exhibitions, and seminars, this series of activities had a good impact on many Torajans, especially Rantepao. Hundreds of people have come, actively participating in competitions and seminars. They were also more enthusiastic because there were also various exhibitions such as the Museum's collection and LAI publications.
On Sunday afternoon, October 5, 2025, finally the peak event was held. At 3:00 pm, the closing service of Toraja Bible Week 2025 began. The service began with the prayer of an extraordinary girl who bravely came forward, named Puan. The Word of God was delivered by Pastor David Kaluring. Singing and melodious music also colored the continuity of worship, as if bringing back memories of joy during the 3 days of implementation. Dozens of people came together including the committee, work team, volunteers, and competition participants. They enjoyed the liturgy, full of gratitude for the implementation of Toraja Bible Week.
After approximately 1 hour, the service was finally over, followed by the distribution of prizes for the competition participants. With great enthusiasm and excitement, the champions came forward to receive their certificates of appreciation. The faces of joy were visible in the images captured by the cameras that immortalized this moment.
At last, the whole event was over. It seemed like a farewell to all the cooperation between the local Bible Week committee and the committee from the Indonesian Bible Institute. Hopefully, through this moment of Bible Week, LAI will not only give happiness, but also inspire the people and all Torajans to love and explore the Bible more.
Bible Week is still going on. See you in Manado Bible Week in November.
