Theological College (STT) Kibaid Makale is one of the Private Christian PTA Universities in the archipelago in the form of a College, sheltered by the Ministry of Religion and included in the Kopertis region of the Directorate General of Christian Guidance. It is located in Tana Toraja Regency, South Sulawesi. Historically, STT Kibaid was founded by Rev Benjamin Bokko (deceased) in the form of a Bible course in 1951. In line with the demands of the ministry, the course was upgraded to the KIBAID Bible School (SAK) in 1965 with a length of three years of education. Then in 1968 it was upgraded again to the Kibaid Theological School with a five-year education, namely four years of formal study and practice for a year. At the synod assembly of the KIBAID church on 16 January 1993 in Ujungpandang, it was decided that starting from the 1993/1994 academic year, the Kibaid Theological School was upgraded to the Kibaid Makale College of Theology (STTK Makale) with three undergraduate theology programmes.
It was to this college with the motto "Called to Serve" that on Saturday, 6 January, the General Secretary of LAI, Dr Sigit Triyono, accompanied by the Head of LAI Makassar Representative, came to stay in touch and share services together. On this occasion the LAI General Secretary handed over various LAI publications, including: Bible New Translation 2nd Edition (TB-2), Living Prosperous Justice Bible (AHSB), Bible Journal, KBB Toraja, and several other LAI publications to the leadership of STT Kibaid, represented by the Chairman of STT Kibaid, Dr. Wilayanto who was accompanied by the Vice Chairman III of STT Kibait Makale Tanah Toraja. It is hoped that some of these publications can be utilised by the STT Kibait academic community in educational activities. Hopefully in the future there will be a closer partnership between the two institutions. All glory be to God.
