Not only with churches, LAI also establishes and continues to pursue partnerships with the government. One of the points in the Declaration of Partnership Commitment at the National LAI Conference with partners mandates that the government increase its attention and support toward the provision and distribution of the Bible and the eradication of illiteracy to enhance the spiritual intelligence of the nation. This partnership has begun to take shape through government recognition of LAI as an institution responsible for providing the Bible and its parts, both in print and non-print, in various languages of Indonesia. Furthermore, in the New Bible Readers program (literacy eradication), LAI continues to partner with local governments in implementing this program.
