The Book of Revelation was written in the late first century, around 95 AD, during the time of the emperor Domitianus (81-96 AD). Domitianus is seen as "Nero come to life": especially in terms of his cruelty towards the followers of Jesus. Domitianus persecuted Christians on a large scale, especially in the region of Asia Minor, where John ministered. At that time the Church was called to participate in Christ's victory over death and evil. The people were reminded to follow His example, to witness faithfully, to the point of risking their lives. In the midst of this dark situation, John was taken to Heaven to see reality from God's perspective, according to His plan and will. This gave him a new perspective (vision) to see the world and history as it should be, according to God's will. Not following the perspective and workings of empires that are full of violence, coercion, victory, domination, etc., but through the way of the Lamb, the way of the Lord. But rather through the Lamb's way of witness, justice and self-giving, even unto death.

Today the book of Revelation might be considered a book that suffers quite a lot. This is because the Book of Revelation is the most widely used book as a reference, but the symbols in it are often misused, associated with various figures and events in history according to the interests of the people who use them. There are also people who read the Book of Revelation as a detailed map of the chronology of the history of this world until the Day of Judgment. This way of reading makes people try to guess the meaning of all the symbols and signs “ secrets ” in it. For example, the number 1000 is often interpreted literally, then combined in such a way as to predict doomsday, and as we know in history there are many predictions that miss and take victims. In addition to the number 1000, no less famous is the number 666 which is often interpreted as "anti-Christ". The number 666 is often associated with various things and people, so some countries deliberately do not use this number for combinations of telephone numbers or postal codes.

Is 666 a symbol of the "number" triple 666 or the "number" six hundred and sixty-six? In the Bible or Revelation, the number 7 is symbolic of “perfection” (Genesis 1: “creation was complete on the 7th day, Sabbath, etc). The number 3 is a symbol of totality or completeness. Whereas the number 6 is a symbol of imperfection. So the number 666 or the number 6 repeated 3 times becomes a symbol of total imperfection. So what exactly is the message behind the number 666 written in the book of Revelation?
