"Hey, there are objects that Jesus once held! Shouted a child from BPK Penabur Agus Salim Kindergarten, Bekasi. When asked what objects were in the LAI museum.
Introducing God's Word from an early age is one way to make them love the Bible.
On Thursday, March 20, 2025, the LAI team had the opportunity to visit the BPK Penabur Agus Salim Bekasi school. The activity called LAI Goes To School is LAI's way of introducing the Bible to children from an early age. If so far many church members or Sunday School children have come to visit the LAI Museum, with LAI Goes to School, LAI is present and visiting schools in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas.
The children of BPK Penabur Agus Salim Kindergarten were introduced and invited to see the collection of the Bible Museum guided by LAI Museum Staff. Two museum staff, Costa and Anas, tried to explain the museum objects as clearly and as interesting as possible so that the children can understand and follow the explanation from LAI.
After being introduced to the objects of the Holy Scriptures, the kindergarten children were invited to play and answer questions about the Bible stories and light quizzes so that the children would be more curious about the Word of God. Of course with attractive door prizes. In addition to studying the Bible, the children of Penabur Kindergarten were also taught how to use money to shop for LAI products with a maximum budget of fifty thousand rupiah.
Hopefully through this activity the children will be more familiar with the Word of God and can provide an experience of visiting the LAI museum. LAI is very open to accepting invitations from schools to hold similar activities. So that more and more children will love the word of God and learn to live according to His will.
God bless. (alpha)
