On Sunday, 24 May 2026, Lembaga Alkitab Indonesia (LAI) held a LAI Magelang Partner Meeting which took place at 18.00 WIB at GKI Pajajaran. This meeting was attended by 16 participants who were representatives from 10 church denominations in Magelang area. The LAI team who attended this event were Mrs Caroline Marlissa as the Head of the Mass and Digital Support Raising (PD) Section and Sdri. Bonita Panjaitan as PD Staff.

The story seemed to touch the hearts of the participants and arouse their concern for the people's need for God's Word. One of the responses was delivered by Mrs Gembala from GSJA Imanuel who expressed her appreciation for the ministry of LAI. She said, "Yes, LAI's ministry is really good." This brief statement reflects the support and appreciation for LAI's ministry which has been continuously trying to bring the Word of God to people in various parts of Indonesia.

In the experience sharing session, Mr Djudjun, one of the LAI Partners who has been serving with LAI for a long time, shared his ministry journey. He was previously a member of the GKI Cawang congregation and now worships at GKI Pajajaran Magelang. While still working at BPK Penabur Jakarta, he was involved in a programme that invited children to learn to give voluntarily through offering boxes available in each classroom. The children's offerings were used to support the spread of the Bible. In addition, he has also participated in One in Love (SDK) trips to rural areas, so he understands firsthand the difficulty of the terrain that must be travelled and the limitations faced by the congregation in obtaining the Bible.

He added, “If here many people have used gadgets to read the Bible, it is different with our brothers and sisters in the interior who still experience signal difficulties. Therefore, the physical Bible remains their main guide in growing in the Word of God.

The meeting that night resulted in an important step, namely the agreement to form a Formation Team group as the initial stage of the formation of the Magelang LAI MPA. It is hoped that this team can be the driving force for the formation of a forum for inter-church cooperation in supporting LAI's ministry in the Magelang region.

In addition to the LAI Partners Meeting, on the same day the LAI team also conducted a presentation of the One in Love (SDK) Programme in four churches, namely GKI Pajajaran, GKI Muntilan, GSJA Imanuel, and GIA Magelang.
