God's wisdom is the most precious thing in the life of a believer. Especially in the fundamental reality that life is about having the courage to make decisions in a series of choices that unfold in life. Yet at the same time we realize how difficult the process is. At the same time, it is God's wisdom alone that guides us to do what is right in life. That is our struggle as human beings. As the choices unfold, we seek and wait for the guidance of His wisdom that is sometimes so difficult to understand.

Humanity's struggle to recognize His wisdom is expressively depicted in Job 28. Both parties maintained their own views with no sign of submitting to the other's opinion. This is where the reflection is born that human beings by nature find it difficult to reach Wisdom. Verses 12-21 juxtapose the struggle to reach His wisdom through comparison with the achievements that human civilization has made. Even though man has gained great results through his science, engineering, and work, he still cannot recognize the wisdom that makes him live prosperously and in the peace of God.

Wisdom contains values and standards that determine lifestyle; while reason promotes the rational, critical, and life-sustaining aspects of life. Together they empower man to make the right decisions in different situations. The mystery of wisdom is revealed through the following words, “It is veiled from the eyes of all the living,”destruction and death say: only its rumors reach our ears.(vv. 21-22)”Both in the world of the living and the world of the dead, wisdom cannot be found. Even in the great oceans and seas, wisdom does not reveal itself. Those two places were places that people could not investigate in ancient times, displaying the metaphorical hiddenness of wisdom.

In that hiddenness, wisdom reflected something priceless on the one hand. More precious than even pure and old gold. Even when compared to glass, which at that time was very difficult to make. Coral, crystal, pearls, even the European Chrysolite Jewels could not match the preciousness of wisdom. She is present and accompanies human life. Wisdom provides the clarity to choose so that the decisions made by people who submit to Him, always lead to the peace of God that He has provided. However, the faithful must recognize that ultimately the workings of Wisdom are a mystery that leads us in faithfulness to God's process in guiding us. That is precisely where God invites us to be humble towards His process and decrees.
