The life we live in this world is full of order which is often a form of consequences for what we do. So the lesson we learn is that no living thing, especially humans, are free from the consequences of what they do.
At first glance we get a gripping picture when reading Isaiah 24:1-13, but after focusing on verses 5-6 it is as if we get a glimmer of explanation. The earth has been defiled by its inhabitants by lawlessness, transgressing statutes, and breaking the everlasting covenant. In the Old Testament, these three things are not only talking about the laws of the world but also the covenant and relationship between God and His people. Whether man would continue to obey the God with whom he had established a relationship.
History records that we are the ones who often break the covenant by doing things that are contrary to God's word, law, and decrees. We act as if the world is running without any real consequences for our actions.
Friends of the Bible, let us live our lives wisely and carefully consider the consequences of our actions. When we want to do anything, let us ask whether or not it denies His word and decrees. Thus we keep the covenant and live in obedience to Him.
